Floor Planning Tool Terms of Use
Effective date: 14 August 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Dwellow Floor Planning Tool, an online floor-planning and heat-loss estimation tool operated by Dwellow Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 15114137, with its registered office at Hermes House (c/o Monahans), Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 2GA (“we”, “us” or “our”).
By selecting “Start with your postcode", using the Tool, or requesting an estimate, you confirm that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Tool.
1. The Tool
The Tool lets homeowners enter an address and create a simplified plan of their property to help us produce an initial heat-loss and heat-pump estimate.
The Tool and any resulting estimate are provided free of charge unless we state otherwise.
2. Who may use the Tool
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Tool or request an estimate.
You confirm that you are the owner, occupier, or otherwise authorised to provide information about the property. You must not use the Tool to submit information about another person’s property without their permission.
3. Information you provide
You may provide:
- your postcode and property address;
- dimensions, layout, construction and other information about the property;
- a floor plan or drawing created within the Tool; and
- your name, email address and telephone number if you choose to save or discuss an estimate.
You must take reasonable care to ensure that information you provide is accurate, complete and up to date. We may rely on the information supplied when producing an initial estimate.
4. Phone verification and contact about your estimate
If you save an estimate, we may ask you to verify your telephone number using a one-time passcode (OTP). You must not attempt to use a telephone number that you are not authorised to use.
By requesting that an estimate is saved and confirming your contact details, you acknowledge and agree that a member of our team may contact you by telephone, email or text to:
- verify or clarify the information you submitted;
- discuss your floor plan and estimate;
- arrange a survey, appointment or next step if you request one; and
- respond to your enquiry.
This contact is connected with the estimate you requested. It is not, by itself, consent to receive unrelated marketing.
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time using the method stated in the message or by contacting us at hello@dwellow.co.uk.
5. Nature of estimates
All estimates, heat-loss figures, system sizes, costs, savings, timescales and recommendations generated through the Tool are indicative only. They are based on the information available at the time and may include assumptions.
They are not:
- a binding quotation or offer;
- a full property survey;
- a room-by-room heat-loss calculation for installation purposes;
- technical, structural, planning, building-control, electrical or legal advice;
- confirmation that a heat pump is suitable for your property; or
- a guarantee of installation cost, energy savings, running costs, grant eligibility, performance, planning approval, or timescale.
A final recommendation or quotation, if offered, will depend on a suitably qualified person reviewing the property and any other relevant information. It may differ materially from the estimate generated by the Tool.
You should not begin building work, purchase equipment, or make decisions that depend on the estimate without obtaining an appropriate survey and written quotation.
6. Address and mapping data
Address and location information may be supplied or validated through third-party services. We do not guarantee that address search results, maps or property information are complete or accurate.
The plan you create is a simplified representation for estimation purposes only. It is not an official plan, title document, survey, measured drawing or record of property boundaries.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Tool unlawfully, fraudulently or in a way that could damage, disable or interfere with it;
- submit false, misleading, infringing or harmful information;
- attempt to access accounts, systems or data that do not belong to you;
- copy, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit the Tool except where permitted by law; or
- use automated means to access the Tool without our prior written permission.
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect the Tool, our users or our business.
8. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own all intellectual-property rights in the Tool, including its software, content, branding, calculation methods and design.
You retain ownership of the information and drawings you submit. By using the Tool, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that information as needed to operate the Tool, generate your estimate, provide the requested follow-up, improve our services in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and meet legal obligations.
9. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, why we use it, how long we retain it, who we may share it with, and your rights.
You should read the Privacy Policy before using the Tool or submitting personal information.
10. Availability and changes
We do not guarantee that the Tool will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We may update, withdraw, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Tool at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be displayed on our website with its effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect means that you accept the updated Terms.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on an indicative estimate, inaccurate or incomplete information submitted by you, or decisions made before a full survey and written quotation have been obtained.
If you use the Tool as a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
12. Governing law and courts
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.
