Sigenergy is a relatively new brand, founded in China back in 2022. However, like many popular brands, they've grown quickly and now supply 60 countries and regions via nearly 100 distributors.
Sigenergy focuses on producing high quality:
Online reviews of Sigenergy are slightly below par, their Trustpilot review rating sits at just 2.8/5 stars. By comparison, the industry average is above 4.
Their battery prices tend to be higher than the likes of Sunsynk and Alpha (both leading solar battery brands).
For example, a 5kW unit is likely to cost £2,500 without installation. You’d pay the same price for a Sunsynk or Alpha battery, but that includes installation cost when coupled with a solar panel system.
Sigenergy’s product range for batteries includes:
All products can be controlled and monitored remotely via Sigenergy’s mySigen App.
You can get quotes on your system (with or without a battery) using our solar panel tool here.
Trustpilot has become the go to website for consumers looking for reviews of specific brands or products.
Unfortunately Sigenergy reviews on Trustpilot aren’t exactly inspiring. Customers rate their brand as 2.8/5 stars. This is much lower than competitors (such as Sunsynk and Alpha) that have review ratings of 4.6 or higher.
That said, this is an extremely small sample size (only 32 reviews posted so far). And, most of the negative reviews focus on poor customer service rather than deficient products.
Below we’ll compare Sigenergy battery prices with other leading brands such as Alpha and Sunsynk.
As an example of battery prices (fitted), we offer the following deals:
We'd always advise adding a storage battery to your solar panel system. It helps reduce reliance on the grid, as well as protecting your home during a power outage.
If we scour a few online retailers we can see the approximate prices for the Sigenergy SigenStor:
However, the prices mentioned above are for the battery only and don't include fitting.
Put simply, a SigenStor battery is likely to cost slightly more than a comparable unit from the likes of Alpha or Sunsynk.

Sigenergy produces and distributes a range of high quality solar storage batteries, inverters and EV chargers.
Below, we’ll be focusing on their solar battery product range which includes the: SigenStor, SigenStack and Gateway.
The SigenStor is the most popular product in Sigenergy's range for residential and light commercial properties. It's a 5-in-1 unit that manages to merge the likes of an inverter, battery power conversion system, battery pack, charger and energy management system into one unit.
Whilst the breadth of their SigenStor battery offering might seem limited in terms of kW capacity on offer, it's not. Typical solar panel systems tend to be suited to their 5kW or 8kW units.
Being modular, you'll have the ability to stack up to 6 modules. If you choose to max out your stack you'd have 30kWh-48kWh of usable storage (far more than the average residential home needs).
Batteries are expensive. Having a modular unit gives you the opportunity to start with a small stack (for example, 1 x 5kWh battery) and add more as you see fit.
Once your system is fitted, SigenStor uses AI driven algorithms to ensure your depth of discharge is optimised, without harming your battery. That's going to lead to the longest lifespan possible.
And during a powercut, you'll see no disruption, as the switchover from mains to battery power is seamless and almost instantaneous.
Expect Sigenergy SigenStor battery prices to start at around £2,500 for a 5kW unit, not including installation.
If you’re mapping out your system and need specific data sets, check out datasheets for the SigenStor here.

If you're looking for a residential or light commercial unit, the SigenStor is for you.
Suitable applications for the SigenStack are small-medium commercial properties. Essentially, the SigenStack is just the SigenStor, but supersized!
The SigenStack comes with an integrated hybrid inverter, suitable for large scale solar energy storage systems. Thanks to this inverter, building a system in the 50Kw-125kW is relatively easy and there's the potential to build a system that's 1mW and beyond.

Whilst not a battery, the Sigenergy Gateway is a useful unit for those using a Sigenergy battery setup.
As the name suggests, the Sigenergy Gateway is the link between your solar panels and your battery. The Gateway manages power effectively, knowing exactly when it should direct energy generated from your solar panels to your home, battery, or back to the grid.
The Gateway is able to detect powercuts almost instantly, meaning it will flick straight onto battery power, with almost no delay.
Like the SigenStor and SigenStack, it's IP66 rated, meaning it can be installed outdoors, reducing the space needed indoors for your installation.
When using any Sigenergy batteries, the Gateway (or a combination of the two), you'll be able to control and monitor your system remotely using the mySigen App.
Any consumer using Sigenergy products will have access to the mySigen App. And if you're using a combination of their products (SigenStor, SigenStack, Gateway or EV Charger), you'll be able to monitor all units at the same time.
The mySigen App allows you to monitor the likes of:
You can also use their smart scheduling feature to set times where you want your battery to charge or discharge.
This helps couple the times you use (or don’t use) energy, alongside off-peak electricity tariffs to reduce your overall electricity bill. If need be, you can use AI optimisation, which estimates and adjusts your system automatically to achieve this lower electricity bill.
Everything here is remote. Whether that's starting or stopping battery charge, changing modes or adjusting inverter settings, you can do this on most mobile devices.
If required, you'll also be able to set alerts for the likes of firmware updates, grid changes or system errors. These can be diagnosed by an engineer remotely, reducing the need for a costly site visit.
Put simply, mySigen is the one stop app to control all your Sigenergy products, remotely.
Expect a Sigenergy battery to cost around £2,500, not including installation. Many installers (including Dwellow) offer batteries for a similar price from brands including Sunsynk and Alpha, including installation.
Sigenergy is a mid-tier solar battery brand. However, in the UK, the likes of Alpha and Sunsynk are more popular, as well as having much better online reviews. Sigenergy's Trustpilot review store sits at 2.8/5, whilst Sunsynk and Alpha are both above 4.6/5.
This is the link between your battery (either the SigenStor or SigenStack) and your solar panel system. It helps manage power effectively ensuring it goes where it needs to (such as the grid, or to your storage battery).
If you’re looking for a Sigenergy solar battery suitable for a residential home, you’ll want the SigenStor. Being modular (you can add more battery units in the future), it’s suitable for residential properties, as well as light commercial units.
If you need a solar panel system for a medium-large commercial property, you’ll want to look at the SigenStack. Being a larger commercial unit, expect battery prices for the SigenStack to be much higher than the SigenStor.
