It's important to note that these figures are only estimates. As part of your home assessment, we will build a 3D model of your roof to produce more accurate figures based on the actual placement of your panels, the inverter equipment you select and the batteries.

To provide these estimates of performance and savings, we have used the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) estimates of self-consumption combined with solar irradiance data for your local area. We have also assumed that your roof is not shaded during the day, identified one slope to place solar panels on, and assumed that someone is at home for about half of the day. If your roof is shaded or there is potential to place panels on additional slopes, we will incorporate adjustments into your design at the home assessment stage.

For the calculation of costs, we have assumed that your unit rate to buy electricity from the grid is 22p, and you export at 15p, which is the current Smart Export Guarantee rate available from several suppliers. For the estimate of electricity used in our home, where you have given us this we have used it. If you were not sure, we use the answers you gave us to estimate usage based on a number of factors including the size of your home, its age and location in the country. This process ensures a reasonably accurate estimate of your electricity usage.
