Step 1/4

Mark out your roof

This helps us understand where panels could go. Don’t worry, a rough outline is absolutely fine.
Step 1

Draw the roof area for your panels

Click or tap around the edges of one roof slope where you’d like panels.Finish by tapping the first point again.

Step 2

Which direction does this part of the roof face?

Choose the closest match, an estimate is fine.

Step 3

How steep is this part of the roof?

This helps us estimate how panels would sit on your roof.

Step 1/4

How to estimate your roof details

You don’t need exact measurements. These details help us create a sensible starting point.

Estimating roof area

A rough estimate is fine, this doesn’t need to be exact

If you know the size, enter the area of one roof slope (not the whole roof)

Most roof slopes are somewhere between 20–50 m²

Finding roof direction

Choose the direction the roof slope faces (the way it points outward)

If you’re unsure, just pick the closest compass direction

A phone compass or map view can help, but it’s not essential

Understanding roof pitch

Most UK homes have a typical pitched roof

Choose flat or shallow only if the roof is noticeably flatter

If you’re unsure, pick the option that feels closest — we’ll sense-check it later
